Estimated Flight Time: 55mins

Probable Formation Element : A400m

What a special day! Not only is you aircraft waiting for you on the ramp at a Key wartime RAF station but you will be flying k5054, the prototype up and over the English Riviera and into 10 Group of Fighter Command, up to RAF Exeter which played a vital part in the South Wests Defences during the Battle of Britain and throughout the war.

Once in the rear seat, you will marvel at the colour scheme and the view and only image how the countryside will look as you slip the surly bonds of earth and head East towards your destination.  A route no doubt flown many times by young fighter pilots in 1940, searching for enemy intruders. Your flight of 55 minutes will just not be long enough! You will get out wanting more, but what an epic adventure you will have. There are not enough superlatives to describe the flight you will have.

As you depart from St Mawgan, you will be blown away by the beauty of the Cornish countryside. St Michaels mount slips under the wing and on up to Mevagissey!  An RAF A400 M transport calls up and request to formate on you! My word, as this giant of an aircraft slips into view, you can only reflect on how small your fighter looks, but not many people have had this view, if ever!   As the A400 flys away, its your turn to have a feel of the controls and see how lively and yet delicate the controls are! The pilot will show you the Cornish coast, both ways up and you can see how manoeuvrable this 1936 design is.  Up towards Devon you fly and to the hallowed grounds of the former RAF Exeter, home to many fighter pilots during World War 2. Exeter city itself being targeted by Luftwaffe bombers!  Torquay to Topsham, and into land. You will never forget this incredible flight!
