After taking a seat in our GA-8 Airvan and climbing into the skies that Spitfires once defended night and day, you and our other passengers will be intercepted and joined by one of our Single Seat Spitfires, only a matter of meters away. From close formation, the Spitfire will perform a break, showing you its iconic silhouette and a flyby demonstrating a glimpse of its speed and manoeuvrability. Spitfires.com has been approved by the United Kingdom's Civil Aviation Authority to carry paying passengers in its GippsAero Airvan G-IPPS through the issuance of an 'A to A' Air Operators Certificate (AOC). This is the same approval type issued to UK airlines but comes with a few limitations. Flights can not travel more than 50nm from the point of take off, must land at the same airfield they took off from, and can only operate during the day in good flying conditions.
