Dom Hart

Born in Liverpool, having grown up dreaming of flight alongside reading lots of Biggles books, Dom first took flight in a Sea King at RAF Valley in 1997 whilst on a summer camp with the Air Training Corps. Two days later, he found himself enjoying his first ever training flight in the Scottish Aviation ‘Bulldog’ at RAF Mona.

Dom went on to join the RAF Voluntary Reserve in 2004, flying the Grob ‘Tutor’ with Liverpool University Air Squadron.

In the intervening years, Dom worked in a number of industries to fund his aviation training. He has experience of working in live entertainment, construction, project management, teaching and health and safety. Dom is also a prize-winner of two Royal Institute of Navigation flying competitions, consecutively, in 2018 and 2019.

Having successfully gained his CPL and FIC at John Lennon Airport in 2020, training with Ravenair, and began instructing in 2021, alongside ferry flying work.

For Dom, joining Spitfires.com is a childhood dream come true and he is loving every moment of his time with the team… and the Spitfires!
