At the Endeavour Fund awards ceremony at the Royal Geographic Society a special presentation was made to Alan Robinson for his achievement in soloing a Spitfire. He was given a Spitfire watch by the Duke of Cambridge with Prince Harry in attendance. The watch can only be owned by a person who has soloed a Spitfire. The person introducing the presentation commented that Alan had something that not even the two Royals could own! It was a very fitting end to a spectacular achievement and one that made everyone at Boultbee Flight Academy very proud indeed.
