G-ILDA MEETS THE RED ARROWS

At the end of last year we flew G-ILDA to RAF Scampton to meet the Red Arrows and to repay them for the huge generosity they had shown us a few months before. We flew most of the team in the rear seat over the course of a perfect flying day in Lincolnshire, mixing in with the odd pair or more of red Hawk jets. As you might expect all of the pilots showed exceptional talent in flying the aircraft although taxying the Spitfire proved a little trickier for them to get used to. G-ILDA spent a couple of nights in the hanger with her new red friends while we, the crew, spent a very fun night in the Dambusters pub nearby. Thank you again to all of the team for looking after us so well, and for the fantastic job they do each and every year in the air making the country so proud.
