Spitfire Pilot

Toby Keeley

Toby joined the RAF in 2003 after learning to fly at Boscombe Down with Southampton University Air Squadron. After Officer Training, he completed three years of Operational Flying on the Tornado GR4 including two tours of duty in Afghanistan, before being posted to RAF Valley, Anglesey to instruct the next generation of fighter pilots.

 

In 2016, Toby was selected to join the world-renowned RAF aerobatic display team - The Red Arrows and spent three years in the team. He displayed in front of millions both in the UK and on overseas tours in the Middle East, Far East and North America. In his final year in the team, Toby flew in the coveted position of Synchro Leader.

 

Toby now flies for British Airways as well as being a civilian Flight Instructor. In his spare time, he enjoys making his and others’ dreams come true by flying our Spitfire TR9s.

 

Toby is one of Spitfires.com’s Spitfire TR9 pilots.
