Spitfire simulator training courses

Take part in CAA-approved pilot training courses at Goodwood Aerodrome using the world’s only authentic Spitfire simulator built from original wartime parts.

What Spitfire simulator training involves

Before you begin your Spitfire simulator training, you’ll meet with your pilot-instructor to receive briefings about:

  • The facility
  • The flying equipment you’ll be wearing, such as helmets, flight suits and parachutes
  • The flying techniques, procedures and emergency drills
  • The aircraft’s systems

Then you’ll be able to discuss what you’d like to do on your flight. This could involve take-off, landings, emergencies, some aerobatics or all of them!

All Spitfire simulator training is delivered at Goodwood Aerodrome in the Spitfire Mk IX simulator. You must hold or have held a fixed wing pilot licence to book.
